David Lee Morgan, 68, of DeRidder passed from this
life on Sunday, Oct. 19 at his residence. David was born on Tuesday, June 25, 1946 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Debbie Morgan of DeRidder; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Woodmansee; one nephew, Steven
Gladhill and wife Catherine; and one great-niece, Gabriella Gladhill.
David was born in Pennsylvania and lived in southern California for much of his life. He had been a resident of DeRidder since 1998. He was a retired plumber with the
U.S. Civil Service at Fort Polk. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving two tours in Vietnam where he was a boatswain’s mate. He loved hunting and his dogs.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. at
Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.labbymemorial.com.
