A memorial service honoring the life of Ivory L. Thomas Ellis, 84, of Houston, Texas will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at the McCoy and Harrison Funeral Home chapel.
Interment will follow on Monday, Oct. 6 in Houston
Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McCoy and Harrison Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the McCoy and Harrison Funeral Home chapel.
Ellis was born on May 9, 1930 and passed from
this life on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ellis.
She is survived by one daughter, Vivica Cumberbatch of Leesville; one son, Kevin Brown of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Rev. George
Thomas of Mansfield, and Samuel S. Thomas of Houston, Texas; one sister, Addie L. Miller of Marietta, Georgia; two half-brothers, Jeremiah Davis of Leesville and Ozie Davis, Sr., of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; one half-sister, Ocie Davis of Houston, Texas;
one grandson, Allan Cumberbatch of Leesville; one granddaughter, Gilena Babb of North Carolina; and a host of nieces and nephews.
