Funeral services for Mike Hodnett, 64, of Anacoco
will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2 at the Anacoco First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Russell and Rev. Terry Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Cold Springs Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home, and then on Thursday, Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mike, the son of Claude and Catherine Hodnett, was born July 10, 1950
in Leesville. He passed away Monday, Sept. 29 in Alexandria.
Mike worked as a Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Deputy for the past 14 years. Before that, he was a contract painter for many years. Mike coached softball for many years and loved being
involved in young people’s lives. He loved to hunt and fish, especially rabbit hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Don Hodnett; and his brother-in-law, Larry Morrison.
He is survived by his wife of 40
