Willis Muriel Horton, 81, of Anacoco passed away on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 in Anacoco.
Visitation will be held at the First Pentecostal Church in Anacoco from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014. Funeral services will be held
at the First Pentecostal Church in Anacoco on Friday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. with Bro. C.W. Dowden and Bro. Shannon Buxton will be officiating.
Burial will follow in Fisher Cemetery in Fisher under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Mr. Horton was born in Peason to Louis and Mary Horton on Feb. 25, 1933. He served his country by joining the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War.
Mr. Horton was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary
Horton; brothers, Ivy Lee Horton, Alvie Ray Horton, William Louis Horton and Billie Joe Horton; and sisters, Lucille Dixon and Elsie Marie Clark.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Johnny Carl Horton of Leesville and Cecil
Wayne Horton of Crosby, Texas; sisters, Estelle Burns of Anacoco, Dorothy Sanders of Mobile, Alabama, Melba Jean Pruitt of Anacoco and Mirriam Ann Eason of Many.
