Funeral services for Helen “Lovene” McElveen
Welch, 93, of Anacoco, will be held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 8 at Good Hope Baptist Church in Anacoco, with Revs. Sherman Busby, Bill Russell, and Milton Rawles officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial
Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation started at 5 p.m. on Dec. 7, and continues until the time of services on Dec. 8 at the church.
Helen, the daughter of Coke P. and Edie McElveen, was born May 27, 1920, in Anacoco. She
passed away Dec. 6, 2013, in Leesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Welch; daughter Norma Combs and step grandson, Brent Chance.
She survived by her granddaughter, Leah Fenne of Leesville;
step-granddaughter, Rene’ and Jerry Neal of Marshall, Texas; sister, Melba and Earl Smith; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
