Funeral services for LeRoy Kay, 90, of Burr Ferry
will be held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 30 in the Freedom Rest Baptist Church with Revs. James Kay and Edwin McCullough officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. on Nov. 29 until the time of services on Nov. 30 in the church.
LeRoy, the son of Tommy and Elsie McGraw Kay, was born June 27, 1923 in Texas. He passed away on Nov. 27, 2013 at his home in Burr
Ferry.
LeRoy loved to farm. He was a jack of all trades and a shade tree mechanic. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was always willing to help anyone in any way he could and loved everyone the same.
He is
preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nelta Kay; one son, Johnnie Kay; two brothers, A.J. Kay and Avon Kay; and his sister, Elsie Kay
He is survived by his children, Justin and Bonnie Kay, and Jefferson and Cynthia Kay, all of Burr
Ferry; three brothers, Prentice Kay, Clenon and Eunice Kay, and William Earl and Joann Kay, all of Burr Ferry; two sisters, Tommie Lou Keel of Burr Ferry and Quinta Lea Goings of Leesville; four grandchildren, Leah Kay, Tiffany Kay, Brittany Kay, and
Bambi Stearns; and a host of nieces, nephews and other friends.
