Funeral services for Emogene W. “Jean” Nance, 85,
of Leesville will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 27 at the First Assembly of God in Leesville, with Revs. Danny Baker, Robin Hunt and Les Comeaux officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Leesville Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral
Home of Leesville.
Visitation was held from 5-9 p.m. on Nov. 26, and will continue from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Nov. 27 at the church.
Jean, the daughter of Nathan James and Annie D. Connell Williams, was born Aug.
11, 1928, in Hopeville, Ark. She passed away Nov. 23, 2013 at her residence in Leesville.
Mrs. Nance was the bookkeeper for D. C. Nance Trucking Company. She was a member of the Assembly of God in Leesville; she served her Lord faithfully
and never wavered in her faith. She was a homemaker, always devoting her time and love to her family who she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, D. C. “Cliff” Nance; son, Mark Nance; and daughter, Vicki Ennis.
She is survived by her son, Dan and Donna Nance of Leesville; daughter, Marilyn and Joe Oden of Leesville; daughter-in-law, Rene Nance Duhon of Leesville; grandchildren, Joey and Rachelle Oden, Stacey Oden, and Ron and Manda Ennis, Jason Ennis,
Josh Nance, Ashley Nance and Tanner Nance; and nine great-grandchildren.
