Pauline Rita Kutach

Pauline Rita Kutach, 100, passed away after a
century of life on Oct. 17, 2013 in Houston. Pauline, or better known as MoMo by her grandchildren, was born on Nov. 19, 1912 in Halletsville, Texas to Frank and Josephine Opela. Mrs. Kutach was raised in Lavaca County, Halletsville, Texas, where she
married her husband Richard. After raising their three children, they moved to Houston, where she lived until her passing. While Mrs. Kutach was raised in Halletsville, Texas, she fondly called home the Heights area of Houston, where she lived for
almost 50 years.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and her son Hubert.
Those left to cherish her memories and her witty sense of humor is her brother, Leo Opela of Halletsville, Texas; her sister, Edith
Pecore of Deer Park, Texas; her daughters, Gladys Foyt of Houston, and Margie Haymon and husband Huel of Slagle; and grandchildren, Tammy Schamerhorn and husband Rodney of Slagle, Bonnie Bolton of Fort Meyers, Fla., Sandy Cosio and husband Brent of
Anacoco, David “Bubba” Haymon of Slagle, Sherri Webb and husband Jim of Houston, Becky Shupak and husband John of Houston, Betsy Kutach of Houston, Kim Spencer and husband Jeffery of Houston, Mandy Kutach of Houston, and Stephanie Johnson and husband
John of Houston.
Mrs. Kutach is also survived by her 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Oct. 21 at the Heights Funeral Home in Houston. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m.
on Oct. 21. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Oct. 22 at All Saints Catholic Church in the Heights, Houston, with burial following in Southpark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
