George E. LeMay

Funeral services for George E. LeMay, 84, of
Leesville will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2013, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be
held from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 14, and from 8 a.m. until the time of services on Oct. 15, in the chapel.
George, the son of Clarence and Nona LeMay, was born Feb. 5, 1929 in Mount Alba, Texas. He passed away on Oct. 11, 2013 at Byrd Regional
Hospital in Leesville. George was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sarah Crawford.
George retired from the U.S. Army as an E-7 sergeant first class, having served in the Korean War and Vietnam War (two tours). He retired
from the Army at Fort Polk in 1971. He enjoyed fishing and lived on Toledo Bend the last few years until this year. Then he moved back to Leesville, The last few years he was not able to do much fishing, but he enjoyed living on the lake.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia LeMay; sons, David and wife Patty LeMay, and Donald LeMay all of Leesville. two stepgrandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
