Gary D. Casey

Gary D. Casey, 59, of Saline, succumbed to cancer
on October 10, 2013, in Shreveport.
He was born July 18, 1954, in Corcoran, Calif.
Gary was a long time resident of Vernon Parish but had spent the last decade of his life in Natchitoches Parish, where he enjoyed working in the
yard and deer hunting. He worked offshore for over 35 years. Gary loved and was very proud of his children and their accomplishments. His grandchildren and great-grandchild were the true joy in his life, and the undeniable love of his life was his
wife, Pam.
He was preceded in death by his father, Danny L. Casey; mother, Lorena Crawford; and sister, Linda Owens.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Casey; son, Major Jonathan Casey and his wife, Captain Brandi Casey;
daughter, DeLana Casey Stephens; grandchildren, Linda Borders and her husband, Michael; Colton, Kiya and Genevieve; great-granddaughter, Amberly; brothers, Bill and Rose Perkins, Mickey and Sandy Perkins, Danny and Clara Casey, Jr. and Myron Carlo
Casey; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Oct. 14 at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel, Leesville, with C. Anthony Eaves officiating, and eulogy by Major Jonathan Casey and DeLana Casey Stephens.
Honoring Gary as Pallbearers will be Jonathan Casey, Mickey Perkins, Danny L. Casey, III, Shane Boycher, Sonny Wood, and R.J. Stutes. Interment will follow in Cooper Cemetery in Pickering, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home.
The
family will be accepting friends for visitation from 2-10 p.m. on Oct. 13, and from noon until the time of services on Oct. 14, at Hixson Funeral Home.
Flowers are accepted, but you can make donations to the American Cancer Society in
honor of Gary’s memory if you would like to do so.
