Charles William Cole

Funeral services for Charles William Cole, 78, of
Leesville will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 4 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. Craig Furque officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5:30-9 p.m. on Oct. 3, and from 8 a.m. to the time of services on Oct. 4 in the chapel.
Charles, the son of William Alexandria and Winnie Euna Bridges Cole, was born March 7, 1935, in
Peason. He passed away Oct. 1, 2013, in DeRidder.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Charles “Bill” William Cole.
Mr. Cole served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He
formerly owned and operated The “Y” Grocery Store & C W Convent Store in Leesville. He worked for Hormel Meat in Shreveport for a number of years. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion, and was a Mason. He was also a member of First
Baptist Church of Leesville, where he was a supportive member of the T.V. Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his daughter, Monette Mathews of Stonewall; brother, James Cole of Leesville; sisters, Marjorie Pollard of Leesville, Ruth
Dixon of Bossier City, and Ada Lou Hayman of Leesville; and granddaughter, Lindsey Cole.
