DELMER ‘MILES’ LONG

“Miles” Long, 49, of Leesville, passed from this life on Sept. 25, 2013 at his home. Mr. Long was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son. He served in the United States Army, and had tours in Iraq and Desert Storm.
Those left to
cherish his memory are his wife, Susan Long; son, Allen Beecher and wife Kim of Smiths, Ala.; daughter, Julia Johnson and husband Aaron of DeRidder; mother, Antoinette Long of East Vandergrift; brothers, Randy Long of East Vandergrift, and Victor
Poisontete and wife Sue of Long Island, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Curtis Dunagan of Albany, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Gary Allen Beecher, Preston Beecher, Joshua Hickman, and Lillian Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, James Long.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 29 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 30 at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville.
