Celebration of Life services for Helen Verrett
were held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 5 in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville, with Rev. George Jeane officiating. The family welcomed guests for visitation from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 5 in the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Interment followed on the grounds of J.W. Jerrell Cemetery in Evans.
Helen Marie Verrett was born July 5, 1938, and peacefully departed on Sept. 2, 2013. Helen was born to the late James and Lucy Reid. Helen enjoyed spending time with
family, and she was also an animal lover. She was a beloved sister and was loved dearly by many nieces and nephews. Helen will be remembered for being a loving and wonderful caregiver.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, James and
Lucy Reid. Left to cherish memories of Helen will be her sisters, Eloise Linaweaver of Evans, Martha Bergin of Pasadena, Texas, and Linda Newsom of Pasadena, Texas; Helen also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of wonderful
family members and friends.
