Funeral services for Sherry Ann Lankford, 43, of
New Llano will be held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 25 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Earl “Buddy” James officiating. Burial will follow in the Glass Window Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation was held from 1-9 p.m. on Aug. 24, and will continue from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Aug. 25 in the chapel.
Sherry, the daughter of George Andrew and Lelia Sigler Lankford, was born on May 22,
1970, in DeRidder. She passed away on Aug. 22, 2013, in the Beauregard Memorial Hospital in Deridder.
She was a graduate of Pickering High School and was a member of the Orange Chapter #224 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is
preceded in death by her father, George Andrew Lankford; and her grandparents, Wayne and Olene Sigler, and William and Mildred Lankford.
Sherry is survived by her mother, Lelia Sigler Lankford of New Llano; sister, Mildred McNamara and
husband William of Leesville; daughter, Niki Ozimek of New Llano; nephews, Malachi McNamara and Branden Alexander McNamara; aunts and uncles, Beverly and Rodney Thigpen, Billy Lankford, and Helen Payzer; and cousins, Larissa and Todd Prince,
Christian Prince, and Charlize Prince.
