Funeral services for Joy L. Cleveland, 73, of
Leesville, will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 19 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Dennis Hackler officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m. on Aug. 18, and from 8 a.m. until the time of services on Aug. 19 in the chapel.
Joy was called home on Aug. 16, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones. She was an avid “Red Devil
Fan,” but more than anything, she truly loved her family and spending time with all of them.
Joy retired after 30 years of service from the Vernon Parish School Board as a bus driver in the Pickering community. She also worked at the
Phoenix Family Pharmacy as a clerk for many years. Joy was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Stancil Cleveland.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy and Larry Littleton, Sherry and Lynn Cryer, Rita Cleveland, Mary and Eddie
Thomas, Vickie and Fred Sketoe, all of Leesville, and Stacie and Darron Craft of Benton; grandchildren include Larryn Bradford, Dakota Cryer, Gett Thomas, Sami Thomas and Vivian Sketoe, all of Leesville, and Tanner Craft and Raelee Craft both of
Benton; and great-grandchildren, Shelbee Bradford, Tyler Cryer, and Brooklyn Cryer of Leesville.
