Funeral services for Jean Nichols, 63, of Hutton
will be held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 8 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Mora, with Rev. Saundra Hillman Wallace officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Aug. 7 at the church.
Jean, the daughter of Johnny Wells, Jr., and Mavis Ford Wells, was born June 7, 1950, in Leesville. She passed away Aug. 5, 2013 in Leesville.
Mrs. Nichols was
a lifelong resident of Hutton. She formerly was employed as a secretary at various medical practices. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Mora. Jean was a homemaker who bonded with all children who stepped into her life. She always had a
smile and cup of coffee ready.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Nichols and their infant son.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Nichols of Hutton; brothers, Tommy Ford of Hutton, Randy Wells of Pickering,
Ricky Wells of Leesville, and Ladale Wells of Gorum; sisters, Elaine Ogletree of Hutton, and Darlene Wells Boles of Simpson; and four grandchildren, Madison Hall, Morgan Hall, Quincy Richardson and Kayla Wells.
