Services celebrating the life of Billy Joe Parker,
59, of Leesville, will be held at 11 a.m. on July 27 in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville. Bros. Ricky Wead, Melvin Smith and Ricky Wead, Jr. will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Scotty Sorrell, Brady Dowden, Dewey Dowden, Kevin
Madeley, Van Fletcher, and Antonio Bruno; Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Perkins and Juan Ponce de leon. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery in Pickering. Visitation will be from 4-10 p.m. on July 26 at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville.
Billy was born Aug. 22, 1953, in Leesville, to Malcolm Wayne Parker and Anne Marie Littleton Parker, and made his journey home on July 24, 2013. He was the founder and owner of Custom Welding, Parker Steel of Leesville, where his customers were
also his closest friends. He loved them and appreciated them as he served Vernon Parish with his talent and knowledge of his trade.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm Wayne Parker and Anne Marie Littleton Parker.
Billy is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Parker of Pickering; sons, Matthew Parker and wife Jodi, and Shane Parker and wife Shannon, both of Pickering; six grandchildren, Luke, Jesse, Jalyn, Kelsey, Payton and Leah, all of Pickering; and one
brother, Donald Wayne Parker and wife, Anita, of Lumberton, Texas.
