Funeral services for Barbra Ann Wesley Simmons,
67, will be held at 1 p.m. on July 27, at St. Paul Baptist Church in Leesville. Pastor James Gaither will officiate. Burial will be in Leesville Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on
July 26 at Fondel Memorial Chapel, and continue starting at noon on July 27 at the church, prior to the funeral.
Mrs. Simmons died July 19, 2013 in Lake Charles. She was born in Leesville and a resident of Lake Charles for the past 35
years. She was a member of New Light Baptist Church where she served as pianist and in the Education Association. She was a graduate of Northwestern University and a retired worker at Lyndell Plant as a Chemist.
She leaves to cherish her
memories two sons, Simeon Simmons of Round Rock, Texas, and Saul Simmons of Washington, D.C.; stepson, Steve Simmons of Houston; mother, Jessie D. Wesley of Leesville; sister, Evelyn W. Hamilton of Leesville; five brothers, Milton Wesley of Lake
Charles, Hilton Wesley of Los Angeles, Calif., John L. Westley, James Wesley both of Leesville, and Benny Bob Wesley of Houston; grandchild, Clarke Simmons; and a host of other relatives and friends.
