The Homegoing service for Elder Lawrence W. Ford,
Jr. 83, of Leesville, will be held at Johnson Temple COGIC, 200 Nona Street, Leesville, LA with Overseer Harold Wright officiating. The viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. on July 12. The Homegoing service will be at 11 a.m. on July 13, at the same
location. Burial will follow at the Hawthorne Cemetery in Leesville. Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Elder Ford pastored Power House COGIC in Knights for over 47 years. He had a love for people
and a desire to see them live a holy and successful life. He was also a school bus driver for the Vernon Parish School Board and retired in 1997 after 20 years of service.
Elder Ford is survived by his wife, Cetta Ford of Leesville; sons,
Lawrence Ford III and wife Noetta of Fort Washington, Md., Floyd Ford of Leesville, Dennis Ford of San Antonio, Lewis Ford and wife Teresa of Waldorf, Md. and John Ford and wife Wanda of Waldorf, Md.; daughters, Esther Bailey and husband Roland, and
Shelia Ford, all of Leesville; brothers, James Ford and wife Ella of Lynnwood, Calif. and Manuel Ford of Leesville; grandchildren, LaDell, Christy, Franchekia, Jenei, Anthony, Briana, Shelby, Monique, Dadriana, John, Joseph and Tabitha;
great-grandchildren, Ethan, Braylon, Jana and Anaira; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
