Funeral services for Ernestine Anna Geisel Haag,
84, of Leesville will be held at 10 a.m. on June 9 at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville, with Father Anthony Catella officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of Labby
Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. on July 8 at the funeral home, with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m.
Ernestine, the daughter of Johan and Anna Geisel, was born Aug. 22, 1928, in
Czechoslovakia. She passed away July 5, 2013 in Rosepine.
Mrs. Haag was a member of The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Leesville and the Retired Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post. She was a Den Mother of
Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Helmet Giesel.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Haag of Leesville; son, John Haag of Conroe, Texas and
brother, Garhart Giesel of Germany.
