Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Cruz, 55 of New Llano, passed
away June 29, 2013, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital after a yearlong battle with cancer.
She was born Sept. 4, 1957, in Junction City, Kan. She was a graduate of Waynesville High School in Waynesville, Mo.?Cindy was a Walmart
employee for the past 21 years. Before beginning her career at Walmart, she was a faithful volunteer at the Main Post Chapel on Fort Polk, where she received various outstanding achievement awards. Prior to this, she was a soldier in the U.S. Army
from 1977 to 1982.?Cindy is survived by her two children, Christopher (Erica) Cruz of San Antonio, Texas, Christina (Rickey) Gray of Hornbeck, and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service is set for 7 p.m. on July 5 at the Grace Bible
Church, with Pastor Larry Davis officiating. A private interment will follow at a later date at the Central Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery. ?Words of comfort may be expressed to the Cruz Family at www.labbymemorial.com.
