Monty VanEman

Graveside services for Ms. Monty VanEman, 74, of Anacoco, were held at 10
a.m. on June 25 at the Pine Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Monty was born March 28, 1939, in Leesville, to Joe and Myrtle VanEman. She graduated from Leesville High School in 1957 and spent
most of her adult life in Enterprise, Ala., where she worked as a personnel management specialist. Monty received her Master’s degree in business management through Troy State University in Dothan, Ala., where she was elected president of the
TSU/Dothan-Fort Rucker Chapter of Gamma Beta Phi.
After retirement in 1996, Monty moved back to Anacoco where she was employed as the village clerk for 12 years. Monty enjoyed researching her family genealogy and had traced her family back
for 11 generations.
Monty is survived by two special friends, Ms. Diann Boudreaux of Montegut, and Mr. Randall Bryan of Anacoco.
