Funeral services for Mr. Roy C. Smith, 80, of Leesville will be held at 10
a.m. on June 12 in the Canaan Baptist Church in Leesville, with Revs. Morris Goins and Ed Tilley officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Mr. Smith was a
lifelong resident of Vernon Parish. He worked at the Coca Cola Company for 12 years and Magnolia Life Insurance for 29 years. He was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church of Evans, and served a number of years as a Deacon of that church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley Smith and Carrie Shaw; nine brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma Lee Nash Smith; two sons, Roy
D. and Jeannette Smith, and Richard D. and Jeanne Smith; four daughters, Norma D. and Les Worthy, Nancy D. and Sam Manuel, Nina D. and Clifford Smith, and Nora D. and Gilbert Barela; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and six
great-great-grandchildren.
