Funeral services for Michael DeWayne “Tex” Webb, 30, of Anna, Texas will be
held at 2 p.m. on June 6 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Revs. Alvin Glaze and Kenneth Baggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Hornbeck under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on June 5, and from 8 a.m. to the time of services on June 6, in the chapel.
Michael, the son of Eddie Arnold Dowden and Anita Diane Roberts was born June 12, 1982, in
Leesville. He passed away May 29, 2013, in Williston, N.D.
Michael was a respectful and hardworking person; he enjoyed life and all of his man toys, and he loved his dog, Red Star. He worked for Express Energy as a Snubbing Supervisor in
Oklahoma and South Dakota in the oil industry. In the summer months he went to Sitka, Alaska to salmon and halibut fishing. “Tex” was extremely adventurous nothing scared him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, JoAnn Roberts
Self, Arnold E. Dowden and Riddle Marie Dowden; great-great-grandmother, Ellen Dixon; uncles, Jonathan Roberts, Joe Dowden and Dennis Dowden; and aunt, Peggy Dowden.
Michael is survived by mother and stepfather, Anita Curtis and Tim Clay
of Anna, Texas; father, Eddie Dowden of Hornbeck, Texas; grandparents, A. C. & Mary Roberts of Gurley, Ala.; aunt, Rebecca Anglin and husband, Tim of Yankton, S.D. and his soul mate for life, Natasha Webb.
