Violaine Mady Fulton

Violaine Mady Fulton, 83, of Leesville died peacefully on April 1,
2013.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on April 9 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, with Rev. Danny Baker officiating. Internment will immediately follow at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on April 8 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, with a Rosary being held at 6 p.m.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 58 years, Sam B. Fulton, Sr.; daughter, Carmen; sons, Sam Jr.
and Jeffrey; daughters-in-law, Donna and Lora; grandchildren, Bradford and Josh; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Avery and Hunter; granddaughter-in-law, Tracy; family member, James Froggatt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stefan
and Irene Malek; and sister, Marlena Putnik.
Mady was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, survived World War II as a student in Vienna, Austria, married Sam Sr. and came to the United States in 1956. She was fluent in English, Serbian, German
and French. Mady was an excellent dancer, especially to swing band music, and could dance to any music. Other activities she enjoyed included being with friends, traveling and reading. As president of the Fort Polk NCO Wives Club, she served the
office with elegance, dignity and grace. Some of the fun events she organized were formal evening dances, concerts, afternoon teas, fashion shows, children’s Christmas and Easter parties, and numerous charitable events. Mady retired from her civil
service job after 20 years. We are heartbroken at our loss and Mady will be dearly missed.
