?Memorial services for Mr. Lynn Dowden of Henderson, Texas will be at 2 p.m. on April 3 at Crawford – A. Crim Funeral Home chapel with Revs. Mike Simpson and Kevin Holmes officiating. Family will receive friends one hour before the
service.?Mr Dowden died April 1, 2013 in Longview, Texas. He was born May 19, 1937 in Sabine Parish to Thomas Clyde and Ruth M. Dowden. He retired, being self-employed in the building construction industry, and he served his country in the Navy. He
was a member of the Church at Crossbridge in Henderson.?Lynn enjoyed gardening, fishing, and traveling with his wife. He also enjoyed hunting at his deer lease in Jefferson with his buddies.?In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two
brothers, Tommy Ray Dowden and Johnny Mack Dowden.?Survivors include his wife, Linda Dowden of Henderson, Texas; son, Chuck Dowden and wife Lissa of Longview, Texas; daughter, Cindy Hudgins and husband Rick of Diana, Texas; brother, Harvey Dowden and
wife Ann of New Caney, Texas; nine grandchildren, Shawn Hudgins and wife Anna, Ryan Hudgins and wife Marianne, Rebekah Rogers and husband Ryan, Rachel Neyland, Shayna Hudgins, Rickey Hudgins, Savannah Hudgins, Zach Dowden, and Adrianna Hudgins; and
three great-grandchildren.?Honorary pallbearers are Charles Cowen, David Lee, Harvey Hand, Mario Grasso, Darrell Chance, and Roy Lemley.?Memorial contributions may be made to the Church at Crossbridge, 7294 CR 314 S., Laneville, TX 75667.?Condolences
