Robert Jackson

Funeral services for Robert Jackson, 85, of Anacoco, will be held at 10
a.m. on March 7 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Bishop Funderburk officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be
held from 5-9 p.m. on March 6 in the chapel.
Robert, the son of Thomas and Agnes Larson Jackson was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Brawley, Calif. He passed away March 3, 2013 at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder.
He was
preceded in death by his parents and sons, John White and David Jackson.
Mr. Jackson retired from the United States Army and was a veteran of three wars. He loved to tinker around the garage, and loved going to the Coffee Shop in Hornbeck
to talk about current events with his good friends, Gene Beavers and Pinkus Spears. He loved shrimping and oystering, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Leah Jackson of Anacoco; son, Ellis Zaborowski and wife
Shirley of Georgia; daughters, Deborah White of Anacoco and Mary Jackson of Anacoco; brothers, Samuel Jackson and wife Rachel of California; sisters, Ellen Johnson and Nancy Ramos, both of California; five grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
