Funeral services for Norman Dale Rector, 53, of Leesville will be held at 2
p.m. on Feb. 19 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Revs. C. W. Dowden and Danny Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Bethel Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Feb. 18, and from 8 a.m. until the time of services on Feb. 19, in the chapel.
Norman, the son of Clayton and Reta Self Rector, was born Sept. 28, 1959 in Leesville. He passed away Feb. 16,
2013, at his residence in Leesville.
Norman graduated from Leesville High School in 1979. During his high school years he was the co-captain of the Leesville Drill Team and also a Champion Calf Roper in the Louisiana High School Rodeo
Association. Norman was an awesome horseman. After graduation, he went to work in the oil field industry. After working at several different jobs, he found his calling, working as a crane operator for over 30 years. In his spare time Norman loved to
hunt, fish and ride motorcycles, but more than anything he loved spending time with his family, cooking, eating, and just enjoying life.
Norman is survived by his parents, Clayton and Reta Rector; his siblings, Clayton Wallace and wife
Kathy Rector, all of Leesville, Rhonda Kay and husband Hiram Copado of White Oak, Texas, and Dennis Ray Rector and Angie Sterling of Leesville; niece, Jana Kay and husband Zenaido Duque of Moss Bluff; nephew, Gary Raydale and wife Liz Rector of
Leesville; and great-nephews, Domingo Duque and Daniel Duque. Norman also has some special people in his life, Sissy Rector, Zach Bates and Shannie Goodwin.
