Angel Negron Sr.

It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Angel Negron Sr. announces his passing on, Feb. 11, 2013, at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. He was born in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico.
Mr. Negron was retired from the
United States Army, and was a professor of English with Northwestern State University. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Faith and also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Angel and Maria
Negron.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elvia Negron of Leesville; four sons, Carlos Negron of Argentina, Raul A. Negron of Mahalie, N.J., Guillermo R. Negron of Leesville, and Angel Negron Jr. of New Llano; one brother, three sisters,
12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, along with a host of other family and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 14 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, with Father Clemente Mauricio serving as celebrant. Visitation will
be held from 6-9 p.m. on Feb. 13 at the Chapel of Heritage Rowe Funeral Home, with a Vigil service starting at 7 p.m.
Burial will be in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville.
