Funeral services for Vester O. Crum, 95, of Long Beach, Calif. will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 14 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home with Bros. John Burns and Virgil Cox officiating. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 14 at the Central
Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Jan. 14 at the funeral home.
Vester, the son of John and Nancy
Hampton Crum, was born Feb. 13, 1917 in Holcomb, Mo. He passed away on Jan. 6, 2013 in Lake Wood, Calif.
Mr. Crum served in the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. He retired from McDonald Douglas Aircraft in 1982.
He
was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Dorothy Crum.
He is survived by his son, Donald Vester Crum of Leesville; daughter, Kathleen Burns and husband Dennis of Long Beach, Calif.; sister, Lucretia Wilson of Maryland Heights, Mo.;
grandchildren, Jonathan, Phillip, Denelle, Tim and Bethany; and great-grandchildren, Caleb, Tyler, Ajalynn and Hannah.
