Mervin Trahan

Funeral services for Mervin Trahan, 71, of Jennings will be held at 11 a.m.
on Jan. 11 at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Jennings under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home. Mr. Trahan passed away Jan. 8, 2013, in his residence after a courageous battle with
illness.
Visitation will be held from 1:30-9 p.m. on Jan. 10 at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings, and will resume from 8 a.m. until time of service on Jan. 11. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. on Jan. 10.
Mervin was
a carpenter by trade, and enjoyed woodworking as a hobby long after retirement. He also enjoyed landscaping his yard and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a lifelong resident of Jennings.
Mr.
Trahan was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Doris Trahan and his brothers, Lilton Lee Trahan and Russell Trahan.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Beard Trahan; three sons, Kirk Trahan of Jennings, Keith Trahan of Welsh,
and Brian Trahan of Sulphur; brothers, Ervin Trahan and Oren Trahan, both of Jennings, and Dale Trahan of Iota; sister, Gayle Trahan of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Brandi Trahan Guidry, Ashley Trahan Burrow, Wade Trahan, Josh Trahan, Gillian Guidry,
Will Trahan, Spencer Trahan, Nicholas Trahan, Peyton Trahan, Logan Trahan, and Luke Trahan; great-grandchildren, Hannah Trahan, Kylan Trahan, Mason Trahan, Marleigh Trahan, and Hudson Burrow.
Pallbearers are Wade Trahan, Josh Trahan, Will
Trahan, Spencer Trahan, Nicholas Trahan, and Peyton Trahan.
