Claudie Vay Willis, 95, passed away on Dec. 17, 2012 in a local care
center.
She was the senior member of Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church. She and her husband were Pioneer Pentecostal ministers having established and pastored many churches; also having traveled as evangelists throughout the Gulf Coast. They
were inducted into the Pentecostal Hall of Fame in Tioga. Her life was dedicated to family and her God.
She is survived by her sons, Quenton Alwyn “Al” Willis Jr. and wife, Lou of Moss Bluff, Leonard A. Willis and wife, Mary Ann of
Manville, Texas and Alvis “Vondie” Willis and wife, Patricia of Fairfield, Calif.; daughter, Orie Vaye Williams and husband, Dick of Denver, Colo.; brother, Cullen Ray Carver and wife, Laverne of Burr Ferry; sister, Lural Dotson and husband, Lewis of
Shreveport; sister-in-law, Nina Carver of Burr Ferry; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Julia Ann Carver and her husband, Rev. Quenton A.
Willis.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Dec. 19 at Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church. Rev. Tim Mahoney will officiate. Visitation will begin from 5-9 p.m. on Dec. 18 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff and resume from 9 a.m. until the
time of services on Dec. 19 at the church. Visitation will again be from 3-9 p.m. on Dec. 19 at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville and resume from 8 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. on Dec. 20 at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Burial will be in Pine
Hill Cemetery in Leesville.
