(AAFES) for 33 years. She was an auditor and instructor, traveling all over the world to include Korea, Japan, Guam, Okinawa, Spain, Germany, England and many other countries. She originally started with AAFES at Fort Polk and finished her
illustrious government career at World Headquarters in Duncanville, Texas. She received numerous awards in recognition for her dedication, loyalty and selfless service in support of our soldiers, airmen and their families.
Upon retiring
from AAFES she began a real estate career in 1989. As with everything she pursued, she excelled in real estate and was respected and admired by all that had the privilege to work with her. She held numerous offices to include: two consecutive terms
as President (1999 – 2000) of The Greater Fort Polk Area Realtors, Chairperson of the Legislative Committee – 2002, State Director – 2002, Secretary/Treasurer – 1994 thru 1998 and the Education Committee – 1991. Her hard work and dedication did not
go unrecognized by her peers. She was selected as Realtor of the Year in 1994, 1995, 1999 and 2000. Through both careers she was always able to find time for bowling. It was a sport she loved for over 55 years. During that time, she won too many
awards to mention. She especially enjoyed being a mentor to the youth of Beauregard Parish helping them learn the game. Sundays were for worship, Jeff Gordon and the Dallas Cowboys.
