Funeral services for Kenneth R. “Ken” Gilcrease, 56, of Leesville will be
held at 10 a.m. on Nov. 27 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Comrade Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Nov. 26, and from 9
a.m. until the time of services on Nov. 27 at the funeral home.
Ken, the son of Oliver and Elvie Wallett Gilcrease, was born April 25, 1956 in Leesville. He passed away on Nov. 23, 2012 in Leesville.
Ken was a lifelong
residence of Vernon Parish. He owned and operated Gilcrease Trucking, LLC. Loved playing with his grandchildren, hunting and horses. Ken loved to socialize with his family and friends and loved to travel, but his special friend was Daisy his
dog.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver “Pete” Gilcrease; stepfather, Robert Brady; grandparents, Edward and Eunice Wallett, and Albert Gilcrease and Fannie Massey; sister, Sherry Ann Gilcrease Busby and stepmother, Loretta
Grantham Gilcrease.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Gilcrease; sons, Dustin and wife Angie Gilcrease and Nathan Gilcrease, all of Leesville; mother, Elvie Wallett Brady of Arkansas; brothers, Robert Brady, Jr. of Texas and Ricky
Brady of Arkansas; sisters, Cathy Brady Wells of Kentucky and Lynette Gilcrease Teftteller of California; and grandchildren, Rayleigh, Ansley and Natalee.
