Funeral services for Rita Lee Smart of Hornbeck will be held at 10 a.m. on Nov. 26 at First Baptist Church in Anacoco with Revs. D.R. Davis, Buddy Airhart and Kenneth Baggs officiating. Burial will follow in Old Anacoco Cemetery, under
the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m. on Nov. 25 at First Baptist Church in Anacoco.
Rita, the daughter of Isaac and Iva Lee Airhart Smart, was born March 4, 1943. She
passed away Nov. 22, 2012 in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Rita was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish. She retired with over 20 years of service as secretary for the American Red Cross. She was a member of First
Baptist Church of Anacoco.
She is survived by her uncle, C. R. “Ray” Airhart and aunt, Juanita Browning both of Hornbeck; and a host of cousins, friends and other relatives.
