Huey P. Gilcrease

Funeral services for Huey P. Gilcrease, 88, of Leesville will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 25 at First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville with Revs. Mark Christian, Dale Mortensen, Alvin Glaze, and John Burns officiating. Burial will
follow in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 24 and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Sept. 25 in the church.
Huey,
the son of William Theodore and Daisey Mae Harvel Gilcrease, was born Jan. 7, 1924, in Alexandria. He passed away Sept. 21, 2012 in Leesville.
Mr. Gilcrease served in the United States Army, having served in World War II. He was the
superintendent of Electric Shop at Fort Polk; after retirement, he was an electrical inspector for the cities of Leesville and New Llano. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville.
He was preceded in death by his
wife, Vivian Owens Gilcrease.
Mr. Gilcrease is survived by his sons, William Gilcrease and wife Debbie, and Danny Gilcrease all of Leesville; daughter, Janell Martinez and husband, Donald of Grand Prairie, Texas; six grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
