Funeral services for Bennie W. Farris, 63, of Anacoco will be held at 10
a.m. Sept. 18 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Sept. 17 and from 9 a.m.
until the time of service on Sept. 18 at the funeral home.
Bennie, the son of Oliver D. Farris and Lucyelle Ogden, was born Jan. 1, 1949, in San Antonio. He passed away Sept. 13, 2012, at his residence in Anacoco.
Mr. Farris
served in the 3rd Battalion 4th Marines Regiment; he loved the military. He love to read, and watch sports; he was a fan of Saints’ football and LSU. He loved his family and his granddaughter, Alexis.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; brothers, Jim Murdock, Jerry Murdock and Butch Murdock and sisters, Margaret Murdock and Fran Murdock.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Patricia Nagman Farris of Anacoco; sons, Scott Farris and Chris Farris, both of Anacoco;
daughter, Amanda Farris Barton and husband Will of Anacoco; sister, Jeanette Helton and husband Ron of Magnolia, Texas; one granddaughter, Alexis and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
