James Harvey Mingo II

James Harvey Mingo II was called to his eternal home on Aug. 22, 2012, at
the age of 46. He was born on Dec. 16, 1965, in Laurel, Miss. the son of James Mingo I and Lucinda Belton.
James graduated from East Marion High School, in Columbia, Miss., Class of 1984. Following graduation James went to work in the
oilfield and later in construction as a superintendent at Tanner Construction. James was a Deacon at First Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church and he served as Senior Warden at Leesville Temple Lodge #128.
James leaves to cherish his
memory his beloved wife and very best friend, Gloria (Kenebrew) Mingo of Leesville; his parents, James and Gaynell Mingo I of Leesville, and Richard Belton Sr. of Columbia, Miss.; two sons, Andre’ “Boomer” Belton of Pineville and Dennis Joiner II of
Austin, Texas; one daughter, Megan Joiner Clark (Qualisimba) of Leesville; four brothers, Richard Belton, Jr. (Kameka) of Birmingham Ala., Melvin Belton (Virginia) of Columbia, Miss., Desmond Tucker(Laury) of Fayetteville, N.C., and Jesse Odom (Kim)
of Kentucky; five sisters; Sheila Belton of Columbia, Miss., Trina Belton of Columbia, Miss., Amanda Hicks (Danzae) of Columbia, Miss., Tracy Tucker of Leesville and Sherell Foster of Natchez, Miss.; five grandchildren; a godson, Stephen Will Parker
of Leesville; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, in-laws cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucinda Belton.
A celebration of life service will be held at noon on Sept. 1 at First Saint Paul Missionary
Baptist Church in Leesville. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Sept. 1. Burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
