Funeral services for Ellis “Sonny” Hoffpauir, Jr., 79, of Leesville will be held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 21 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Penfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery under the direction
of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Aug. 20 and from 8 a.m. until the time of service on Aug. 21 at the funeral home.
Ellis, the son of Ellis Albert Hoffpauir, Sr., and Clara
Mae Mabry Hoffpauir, was born on Sept. 16, 1932, in Leesville. He passed away on Aug. 16, 2012, in Leesville.
Mr. Hoffpauir was a lifetime resident of Leesville. Sonny graduated from Leesville High School in 1950. He was a veteran, having
served in the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Centenary College in Shreveport. He was the former owner of Builder Supply of Leesville, served as a school board member of Leesville, and he was a member at First Baptist Church of Leesville, where
he served as Sunday School teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Clara Hoffpauir; wife, Wanda Hoffpauir and grandson, Christopher Hoffpauir.
He is survived by his sons, Kent and wife Donna Hoffpauir of
Leesville, Randy Hoffpauir of Delaware and Phil Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Wayne Ryder, Kendra Hoffpauir, Joshua Hoffpauir and Jacob Hoffpauir; and great-grandchildren, Khrystian Hoffpauir, Elija McClintock, Aidyn Hoffpauir, Madelynn
Hoffpauir, Tyler Ryder and Landon Ryder.
