Funeral services for Bonita Jo-Ann Watkins, 71, of Florien, will be held at
2 p.m. on July 28 at Antioch Baptist Church in Florien with Rev. Jimmie Evans, Rev. Wayne Chance and Rev. Richard Partridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Florien. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on July 27 at Antioch
Baptist Church in Florien.
Bonita Jo-Ann Watkins was born on July 27, 1941 in Plainview. She passed away on July 25, 2012 at Sabine Retirement and Rehabilitation Center in Many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward
and Ellie Hilton Brown; two brothers, Glen Brown and Merle Brown and son-in-law, Ronnie Withers.
She is survived by her husband, Merwyn Watkins of Florien; daughter, Debbie Withers of Florien; two sons, DeWayne Watkins and wife Rita of
Anacoco and David Watkins and wife Phyllis of Benton; one sister, Vera Jones of Peason; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Lee Allen Gordon, Michael Brett
Parady, David Blake Watkins, Jonathan Arron Withers, McKenna Elise Watkins and Perry Randolph.
