George Baylis Busch Jr.

Funeral services for George Baylis Busch, Jr., 79, of Leesville will be held at 11 a.m. on July 27, at Canaan Baptist Church in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Canaan Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-10 p.m. on July 26 at the church.
George, the son of George Busch, Sr., and Essie Mae Jackson Busch, was born Jan. 29, 1933, in Walhalla, S.C. He passed away on July 21, 2012, in
Alexandria.
He retired from the United States Army after 21 years of service. He served 36 months in Vietnam. Mr. Busch was a resident of Vernon Parish since 1971. He owned The Little Fisherman on La.8 from 1971 until 1991.
He
was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Busch.
He is survived by his sons, Clyde Busch of Leesville and George B. Busch, III, of Junction City, Kan.; daughter, Beverly Hutchins of Manhattan, Kan.; siblings, Jean Hadley of Brookhaven,
Ala., Jacob Busch of Sarasota, Fla. and Lloyd Busch of Spokane, Wash.; six grandchildren, Jamie Busch of Junction City, Kan., Charis Teaque of Manhattan, Kan., Brittany Busch Los Cruces, N.M., Nicki Smith of Manhattan, Kan., Shayla Wildenuar,
Manhattan, Kan. and Khtristie Busch of Junction City, Kan.; and eight great-grandchildren.
