Funeral services for Betty Jo Dotson, 67, of DeRidder will be held at 10
a.m. on July 20 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, with Rev. Dr. Fred Hartzel and Rev. Glenn Ducharme officiating. Burial will follow at noon on July 20 at the Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, under the direction of Labby
Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. of DeRidder. Betty Jo passed away on July 17, 2012 in her residence.
Visitation will take place from 6-9 p.m. on July 19 and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on July 20 at the funeral home.
Betty
Jo was born and reared in Los Angeles and has been a resident of Vernon Parish for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Hilltop Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and her animals, and was a member of the Vernon Parish Humane
Society.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Erwin Dotson, Sr., of DeRidder; four sons, Timothy Edward Dotson, Sr. of Texarkana, Texas, Ronald Erwin Dotson, Jr. and wife Shelia of Redwater, Texas, Michael Ray Dotson, Sr. and wife Tara of
Reeves, and Jesse Robert Dotson of DeRidder; daughter, Rhonda Leigh Dotson Sullivan and husband Shannon of Texarkana, Ark.; two stepdaughters, Maria Louise Blake of Redwater, Texas and Karen Sue Runnels of Texarkana, Ark.; and 12 grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Blake.
