Dennis Virgil Dawson, Jr, 77, of Hornbeck passed away on June 19, 2012, at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville. He was born on Dec. 13, 1944, in Harrisburg, Texas.
Mr. Dawson moved to Hornbeck from Houston seven years ago. He
loved hunting, fishing, gardening and horses. More than anything, he loved his babies Chocolate and Amy.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Connally.
He is survived by his children, Dennis Edward Dawson of Longview,
Wash., Denise Dawson Roof of St. Louis, Patricia Miller of Houston and Ryan Dawson of Normangee, Texas; sister, Kay Connally of Dallas; aunt, Patsy Leach of Leesville; special friends, David Glaspie and Kathy Hooper Hagelin; nine grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
