Celebration of Life services for Charles “Charlie” Emerson III, 18, will be
held at 2 p.m. on June 23 at the East Leesville Baptist Church of Leesville with Bro. Millard Monk and Bro. Jerry Twyman officiating, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from
1-9 p.m. on June 22, and from 8 a.m. until the time of service on June 23 at East Leesville Baptist Church. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Cooper Cemetery in Pickering.
Charlie was born on June 11, 1994, in DeRidder,
to Charles “Chipmunk” and Amanda Hollis Emerson, Jr., and was pulled early from this life following a tragic accident on June 19, 2012, in Simpson. He was a member of Oak Forest Baptist Church. Charlie loved all sports, four-wheeler riding, good
friends and family. He never met a stranger, never made an enemy. Charlie loved to sing and will be loved and cherished by all.
Left to cherish the many blessed memories Charlie leaves behind will be his parents; twin sister, Whitley
Emerson; one brother, Dillin Emerson; a nephew on the way, along with many extended family members and numerous great friends.
