Shanda Gail Steele was born on Dec. 31, 1966, in DeRidder. She passed away
on May 29, 2012, in Alexandria.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on June 6 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Shanda loved nature, animals and fishing. She loved people and helping them. Her last act of kindness
and generosity was the donation of her organs.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie and Dora Wilson, and sister, Sharon Stigall.
She is survived by her mother, Mickey Harris of Leesville; brother, Glen Steele
of California; aunts and uncles, Sonny Wilson and wife, Susanna of Leesville, Montie Lou Wilson of Leesville, and Vera Lou Stephens and husband, J.J. of Leesville, and numerous cousins and friends.
