Joseph James Richardson

Joseph James Richardson passed from this life on May 28, 2012 in Leesville.
Joseph was born on March 15, 1947 in Rochester, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Army and later had a distinguished career with the Office of Personnel Management in Washington, D.C. Joseph was co-founder of Government Retirement and Benefits, Inc.,
located out of Alexandria, Va. He loived his job and was a gifted instructor.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 26 years, Sandra Wilson Richardson; sons, Christopher Joseph Richardson of Palm Beach, Fla. and Jeremy Brett
Haymon of Leesville; granddaughter, Faith Christine Richardson of Palm Coast, Fla.; brother, Richard Richardson and wife Kim of Watkins Glen, N.Y.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Wanda Whitton, Alex and Paula McMillan, Gary and Mary Wilson,
Margie Kunkel and Carolyn Midkiff, all of Leesville; mother-in-law, Connie Wilson Cryer of Leesville; special nieces and nephews, Harleigh and Tyler McMillan, Britnee Whitton, Todd and Tina Duncan and Christen Duncan of Leesville; Bryan Whitton of
Hendersonville, Tenn., Ken and Jocelyn Phillips of Houston, and Kari Lyles of Crestview, Fla; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Of special note is Rebecca Brom, whom he viewed as a daughter.
Joseph was preceded in death by his son,
Steven Christopher Haymon; brother-in-law, Vernie Midkiff, and his father and mother, James and Fernanda Richardson.
There are many things that etch his enduring memory into our hearts – his wonderful sense of humor, quick wit, fun-loving
and generous nature, love of close family and friends, and a brilliance that inspired us. This amazing and wonderful man is deeply loved and will be greatly missed, but he will always be a source of light, love and strength.
