Funeral services for Ruby M. Richmond, 91, of Beaumont, Texas will be held
at 2 p.m. on May 30 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clarence Russell, Rev. Daniel Jarrell and Rev. Arthur Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in the Sycamore Cemetery in Burkeville, Texas, under the direction of Labby
Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-10 p.m. on May 29, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on May 30, at the funeral home.
Ruby, the daughter of John Byrd and Sarah Jane Smith Miller was born
on Feb. 7, 1921, in Burkeville, Texas. She passed away on May 27, 2012, in Beaumont, Texas.
Mrs. Ruby owned and operated the Burr Ferry Catfish House for many years. She loved to fish, sew and her family.
She was preceded in
death by her husband, Isaac Richmond and son, Paul Rodney Richmond.
She is survived by her daughters, Lucille Jordan of DeRidder, Dot Moore of Burr Ferry, Vicky Smith of Beaumont, Texas and Rebecca Cormier of Beaumont, Texas; 10
grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
