Geraldine Swiderski 79, of New Llano, went to be with the Lord on May 12,
2012.
Geraldine was born in Arkansas on Dec. 9, 1932, to Homer Flemens and Bertha Draper Flemens of Arkansas.
Geraldine was of the Baptist faith and a longtime resident of Longview, Wash.; she had lived in Vernon Parish for the
past seven years. Geraldine was very handy at making crafts, sewing and quilting. Geraldine loved her family dearly; she will be missed by all.
Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Swiderski; parents, Homer Flemens and
Bertha Draper Flemens; son, Ralph Dennis Swiderski; brother, Arnold Flemens; and grandchildren, John Mawae and Michael Gillet.
Geraldine is survived by her daughters, Linda Mawae and husband, David, of New Llano, and Carol Lewis and
husband, Aaron, of Cloverdale, Ore.; sisters, Jordean Steale of Longview, Wash. and Sharon Manley of Castle Rock, Wash.; grandchildren, Christine Gillet, Tori Gillet, Kevin Mawae, Scott Mawae and Mark Mawae; and great-grandchildren, Cierra, Michael,
Cody, Megan, Jonah, Kirkland, Abigail, Nathan, JoAnna and Macy.
Services and burial pending at Steele Chapel in Longview, Wash. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville, LA.
