Saundra L. Brumley, 69, of Leesville went to be with the Lord on April 19.
She was born in Leesville on the 17th day of September, 1942, to Lucas Wilson and Nina Marie Parker Wilson.
Saundra is a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish and was of the Baptist faith. She was the most awesome mom and grandma in the
world. Saundra loved to play bingo, care for animals and crochet baby blankets. She was an excellent seamstress and great cook. She loved her family dearly and she will be missed by all.
Saundra is preceded in death by her husband,
Clarence Brumley, and parents, Lucas and Nina Wilson.
Saundra is survived by daughters, Debra (Tuffy) O’Neal and husband William Bennett O’Neal of Leesville, Donna Liss and husband Charlie Liss of League City, TX; brother, Lucas Dale
Wilson and wife Betty of Leesville; sisters, Ramona Vinson of Leesville and Doris Brumley of Leesville; grandchildren, Charles Cushing, Cody O’Neal, Shelby Liss and Braeden Liss and great-grandchild, Landon Lee Cushing (Stinker Man).
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on April 21 at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville. Services will be held at 2 pm on April 22 at the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Travis Murray will be officiating. Pall bearers will be Charlie Liss, Billy
O’Neal, Cody O’Neal, Charles Cushing, Braeden Liss and Richard Brumley. Burial will follow in Stephens Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
