Lucille Denbo

A memorial service for Lucille Denbo will be held at 10 a.m. on April 13 at Grace Presbyterian Church, located at 4900 Jackson Street in Alexandria.
Lucille “Cille” Bridges Denbo, 88, went home to her Lord on March 7,
2012.
Born on September 27, 1923 in Fullerton, Cille lived in Leesville, Baton Rouge and Alexandria. Cille graduated from Leesville High School in 1940 and was a bacteriology major at LSU, Baton Rouge, where she joined Alpha Delta Pi
sorority. She was an active alumna member and was honored for her work for the sorority. She taught Sunday school at Baton Rouge First Presbyterian Church. Cille was a founding member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Leesville. In Alexandria
Cille was a volunteer reader for elementary students and was a Pink Lady at Cabrini Hospital. She enjoyed gardening. Grace Presbyterian Church in Alexandria was a second family in their care for Cille during her membership there.
Cille is
survived by her children, R. Thomas Denbo, Jr; Mary D. Lynn and Nancy D. Iwamoto; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, plus one to be born this year.
